Experience your own ‘Road Trip Rwanda’ this May 2016

Do you find yourself dreaming of Africa? Well, you’re in luck! We have 3 spots left on our 2016 INSPIRE!africa Volunteer Trip to Rwanda.

Once we arrive in the beautiful land of a thousand hills, we will be teaching English, visiting the projects INSPIRE!africa supports as well as meeting some of the beneficiaries of your generous donations! We will explore the bustling capital of Kigali as well as take in the sights and sounds of the Rwandan country side. And of course a trip to Rwanda isn’t complete without stopping by Parc National des Volcans to catch a glimpse of the awe inspiring mountain gorillas.

  • Departure date: May 20, 2016
  • Duration: 2 weeks

If you are interested or want more information, contact us. If you can’t come with us but would like to follow along, friend us on Facebook and read our posts during the trip.

Is Research Your Forte?!

We are looking for volunteers to help find grants that INSPIRE!africa could apply for to enhance the projects we are currently supporting. If you are interested in doing a little internet digging that would be a great help. You would be looking for grants for international development work focused on supporting youth and women survivors to build skills to lead healthy sustainable lives. If this interests you please contact us.

Congratulations to Joseph Mumbogo!

Joseph graduated this past December from the Rwanda Tourism University College with a Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Joseph’s INSPIRE!africa sponsors have been supporting him since 2009; first to complete secondary school, and now he has completed a university degree! He is excited to begin his career and is currently looking for work.

Joseph’s message of thanks:

“I am ever grateful for the support from Inspire and I am determined to use the knowledge and skills acquired from school to make a difference in life and society”.

We know Joseph will be a great success in whatever he does. He has worked hard to get where he is today and we are very proud of you, Joseph!

Through INSPIRE!africa, Calgary sponsors are currently providing financial support for nine Rwandan students as they work towards completing their schooling. Seven of these students are on track to complete university degrees over the course of the next two years and two students are set to graduate from secondary school. These students will join seven other students who have completed their schooling thanks to INSPIRE!africa sponsorships. For each of these students, the opportunity to pursue university level education is an absolute dream come true and it is thanks to the continued support from our Calgary sponsors that these dreams have been fulfilled.
